When GGPA provides these links we try to carefully choose websites which we believe are useful and meet our high standards.  However, because websites can change so quickly, we cannot, guarantee the standards of every website link we provide or be responsible for the content.

Grant Opportunity Research Sites

  • The Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance is a government-wide compendium of Federal programs, projects, services, and activities which provide assistance.
  • The Foundation Center is the world’s leading source of information on philanthropy, fundraising, and grant programs.
  • Foundations for the Future (F3) is a project to assist K-12 educators in incorporating technology into the classroom. We provide resources, technical assistance and professional development opportunities to K-12 educators throughout the state of Georgia.
  • Grants.gov is your source to FIND and APPLY for federal government grants. There are over 1,000 grant programs offered by all federal grant making agencies. Grants.gov allows organizations to electronically find and apply for more than $400 billion.
  • Association County Commissioners of Georgia – nonprofit association of Georgia’s county governments.  Formed in 1914 with 19 charter county members, today ACCG serves as the consensus building, training, and legislative organization for all 159 county governments in the state.
  • Atlanta Regional Commission – the regional planning and intergovernmental coordination agency for the 10-county area including Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry and Rockdale counties, as well as the City of Atlanta. For 60 years, ARC and its predecessor agencies have helped to focus the region’s leadership, attention and resources on key issues of regional consequence.
  • International City/County Management Association (ICMA)  – develops and advances professional local government management to create sustainable communities that improve lives worldwide.
  • The National Education Association (NEA) Foundation – an independent, public charity supported by contributions from educators’ dues, corporate sponsors, and others who support public education initiatives.  We partner with education unions, districts, and communities to create powerful, sustainable improvements in teaching and learning.

  • ARC – Livable Centers Initiative – a program that awards planning grants on a competitive basis to local governments and nonprofit organizations to prepare plans for the enhancement of existing centers and corridors consistent with regional development policies.
  • Foundations for the Future (F3) –  is a collaboration of Georgia Tech researchers working with government and industry support to ensure universal K-12 technology access and effective use in Georgia and beyond.
  • Georgia Department of Community Affairs – The Georgia Department of Community Affaris (DCA) provides a variety of community development programs to help the state’s communities realize their growth and development goals.
  • Georgia Department of Education – The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) oversees public education throughout the state. It ensures that laws and regulations pertaining to education are followed and that state and federal money appropriated for education is properly
  • Georgia Municipal Association – The Georgia Municipal Association was created in 1934, as the only state organization that represents municipal governments in Georgia. GMA’s membership currently totals more than 502 municipal governments or 99% of the state’s municipalities.

Not Grants! – Scholarship Sites

  • Georgia’s HOPE Grant (a separate program from the HOPE Scholarship) is available to legal residents of Georgia who are attending a Georgia public technical college or public college or university to earn a certificate or diploma regardless of high school graduation date or grade point average.   • GSFC Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant – Promotes the private segment of higher education in Georgia by providing non-repayable grant aid to Georgia residents who attend eligible independent colleges and universities in Georgia.
